Frequently asked questions

How do hormones change my skin?

Estrogen supports skin moisture, firmness, and barrier function, while androgens influence oil production. When hormone levels shift during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, or menopause, skin can become drier, oilier, more reactive, or slower to heal. These changes are hormonally driven, not random.

Is Cōpḍī only for menopause?

No. Cōpḍī is made for skin in any hormonal chapter: monthly cycles, pregnancy, postpartum and nursing, perimenopause, menopause, and stretches of high stress. If your skin is changing on you, the routine was designed for it.

Are peptides safe during pregnancy?

Peptides are large molecules that work at the skin's surface, and they're widely regarded as a gentler alternative to retinol during pregnancy. Cōpḍī is retinol-free and fragrance-free. We recommend consulting your doctor about any product you use during pregnancy.

How can I tell if skincare is pregnancy-safe?

Start with the ingredients most often flagged: retinoids (retinol, retinaldehyde, tretinoin), high-dose salicylic acid, hydroquinone, and synthetic fragrance. Read the full ingredient list rather than the marketing copy, and note where an ingredient falls in it, since order reflects concentration. Ask what a formula leaves out as much as what it puts in. Guidance also depends on your own history, so we recommend consulting your doctor about any product you use during pregnancy.

Can I use Cōpḍī with my existing routine?

Yes. Prep and Plump slot between your cleanser and your SPF. Each ingredient is multifunctional, so together they cover the treatment steps in between, without layering separate serums and moisturizers.

Do I still need a separate toner, essence, serum, moisturizer, or eye cream?

No — The Edit gives you those benefits in two steps. Prep, the calm layer, provides the benefits of a toner, an essence, and a hydrating serum. Plump, the restore layer, provides the benefits of a treatment serum, a moisturizer, and an eye cream. Together they hydrate, firm, brighten, and strengthen — everything between your cleanser and SPF.

What testing do your products have?

Dermatologist-tested, and clinically tested on sensitive skin at SGS labs, an independent third-party lab. Vegan, cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified, and made to meet EU and Credo Clean requirements.

What does Cōpḍī mean?

Cōpḍī means “book” in Gujarati and “cover” in Italian — a book where botanicals meet biotech. Our Ayurvedic and Italian apothecary heritage is bound with scientific precision. Made in LA, designed in Italy.
