The Edit — Prep + Plump Retinol-Free Skincare Duo

The complete routine for hormonal skin

Prep + Plump

Your skin keeps changing through your cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause and beyond, and the routine that used to work stops keeping up. The Edit is the two-formula system built for exactly that. First Prep calms and hydrates; then Plump restores firmness, brightness, and a stronger-feeling barrier. Ancient botanicals, modern biotech, working as one. Everything between your cleanser and your SPF, made for hormonal skin longevity.

Where Botanicals Meet Biotech

Two multifunctional formulas, made to work together.

Prep

Calms + Hydrates

5X Hyaluronic Acid, Bisabolol, and olive‑derived emollients

Vata skin, Ayurveda says, has gone dry, thin, and finely lined; Italy called it Melancholic: cold and dry. Both answered with rich, warming oils pressed from fruit and seed. Pitta skin runs hot: flushed, easily irritated, quick to react. Italy named that temperament Choleric, and for centuries both traditions reached for chamomile to cool it.

We use the modern forms of those instincts. Olive-derived emollients, Italy’s “liquid gold,” sit over a five-form hyaluronic and polyglutamic network that helps skin hold water at the surface. Bisabolol, chamomile’s active molecule, is isolated and standardized so every bottle delivers the same dose, with pro-vitamin B5 to quiet the look of redness.

Refines

Sea fennel and a triple-mushroom complex

When skin looks dull and thickened, Ayurveda calls it Kapha: heavy, slow. Italy called it Phlegmatic. Apothecaries on both coasts chased that dullness with citrus and sea salt. And both systems believed imbalance began with what the world does to us: sun, smoke, sleeplessness, stress.

Sea fennel grows on Mediterranean cliffs in that same salt air, and offers a gentle, retinol-free way to support smoother-looking texture, with no acids and no peeling. Turkey tail, shiitake, and snow mushroom are adaptogens, studied for their ability to help skin buffer the daily load, supporting a steadier-looking tone.

Defends

Nigella (black cumin) and grape seed

Nigella (Nigella sativa), the black seed, is Kalonji in Gujarati kitchens, Habbat al-barakah, the “seed of blessing,” in the Islamic world, and it appears in Greek, Roman, and Hebrew texts alike. Seeds were found in the tomb of Tutankhamun, sent with a pharaoh into the afterlife. Italy pressed its grape seed for a parallel reason: what protects the fruit protects the skin.

Both are antioxidants, and stubborn ones. Grape-seed proanthocyanidins have been shown to guard against oxidative stress more effectively than vitamins C and E, and nigella’s thymoquinone stays stable where topical vitamin C so often oxidizes and fades. Two ingredients doing what a single vitamin C rarely holds up to do: helping reduce the impact of everyday stressors on the look of the skin.

Plump

Firms

The Oleosome Peptide System

Ayurveda restored aging skin through abhyanga, the daily oil massage; Italy through olive and almond. The instinct was right: lipids carry what skin needs.

Biotech made the carrier precise. A plant-based oleosome system delivers two biomimetic vegan peptides into the upper layers, supporting the look of firmness and helping soften fine lines. In a four-week study against the same crema-gel without them, the peptide formula softened the look of wrinkles, supported firmer-feeling skin, and faded the look of dark spots.

Brightens

The Radiance Complex

Every tradition had a brightening ritual: turmeric and chickpea in Gujarat, licorice root across the Mediterranean. Licorice is still here.

Now joined by niacinamide and tranexamic acid, the Radiance Complex helps reduce the look of discoloration from pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause, built with melanin-rich skin as the standard.

Cushions + Strengthens + Seals

Centella, prickly pear, heritage oils, and 5X Hyaluronic Acid

Ayurveda calls it Gotu Kola; Chinese tradition, Tiger Grass; both used it on skin that would not settle. Centella has belonged to many. Sicily’s Fico d’India, the prickly pear, is rugged without and soft within, the island’s emblem of resilience; avocado was Italy’s answer to dry Vata and Melancholic skin, and kalonji was Gujarat’s.

Centella works with licorice on the barrier itself, supporting a stronger, more settled surface layer week after week. Prickly pear, nigella (black cumin), and avocado bring nourishing lipids without heaviness, so moisture is drawn in and then held there, and face and décolleté feel silky rather than greasy. And the five-form hyaluronic network returns, with skin-identical amino acids that mirror the skin’s own moisturizing factors, holding water in the upper layers so skin stays plump and cushioned between applications.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between Prep and Plump?

They cover different halves of a routine. Prep is a milky mist covering the toner, essence, and serum steps. It hydrates, calms, and readies skin. Plump is a velvety crema-gel covering the treatment serum, moisturizer, and eye cream steps, and it firms, brightens, and seals everything in. First Prep. Then Plump.

Why is Prep 100ml and Plump 50ml?

A mist covers in fine layers, so you use more of it: 4 to 5 mists per application. Plump is a concentrated crema-gel: 3 to 4 pumps go a long way. The sizes are matched to how each is used, so the two run out on roughly the same schedule.

How does The Edit adapt to me?

Your skin keeps changing: through pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and andropause. The system is built for that. Every ingredient does more than one job, so as your skin’s needs shift, the same two formulas keep answering them. You can also adjust the dose: more mists when skin runs dry, lighter pumps when it runs oily.

What should I expect on first use?

Prep and Plump contain potent botanicals and biotech actives. You may notice a brief, gentle zing on first application. This is normal and subsides quickly. Both formulas have been clinically tested for sensitive skin by SGS, an independent third-party lab. For very sensitive skin, patch test before use and apply every other day to build tolerance.
